Work Style
I am a logical and detail-oriented worker. I enjoy leading and learning, but the feeling of accomplishment after completing a new challenge excites me.
What attracted you to Gradient?
I retired from city government in January 2024 and am having the best time with my husband, three children, and 1-year-old great niece. I do enjoy work though, and wanted to stay connected in the industry. A friend and mentor suggested I talk with Gradient. Gradient’s objectives to serve and support their clients is exactly what I believed I was doing when working in local government. The energy, integrity, work ethic of the Gradient culture made my decision to join the team an easy one.
Experience
I have more than 26 years of experience in local government. I began in internal audit with the City of San Antonio, where I also served in the management assistance program. In 2002, I began with the City of Frisco. During my 21 years with the city, I served in roles such as Senior Accountant and Budget Director; retiring in 2024 as Interim CFO. I’ve both served on and managed teams responsible for audits, accounting, budget development, capital projects, debt, cash management, investments, and grants. My career has been filled with exciting work, wonderful friendships, and a variety of valuable lessons. Working with Gradient affords me the opportunity to grow and share my experience with others.
Education
I received my B.B.A. in Accounting from Texas A&M University. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO).
